What this is

• An independent public service. The website is free. A keyed read API offers a small free daily allowance; a paid tier with a larger allowance may be offered later. Your data is not sold either way.
• A post record relays what X publicly serves about a single post at the moment you ask. Nothing here "signs" or cryptographically "authenticates" anything.
• An account record relays an account's public identity and recent public posts as X publicly serves them, and fact-check entries relayed from a public index of published fact-checks, in the publisher's own words. This service rates nothing, decides nothing, and infers nothing about anyone's intent. A record is a snapshot from the day research last ran; its sources may be corrected or withdrawn afterward, and the record will not know until it is refreshed.
• The optional AI assessment on a post is a language model's take. Always labeled, fallible, an aid to your judgment rather than a replacement for it.
• Provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind, including availability or accuracy of what X, the fact-check index, or any publisher returns.

Your part on the website

• Personal, manual use only. Automated or scripted use of the website is forbidden; the API below is the sanctioned automated path.
• VPN use is forbidden. Anonymized traffic may be challenged or refused.
• Lookups, research requests and dispute filings have daily budgets per browser, tracked by a cookie (clearing the cookie resets them), inside a larger shared allowance for your network and a daily capacity for the whole service. Budgets reset daily.
• If you copy the tear-off reply and post it anywhere, you are the publisher of that reply. Keep it factual; the tool gives you only what it measured.
• Disputes and removal requests are welcome from anyone, and a dispute is shown on the record immediately as unverified. Do not file what you know to be false. Removal is granted to the account holder after verification by reply to the contact given.

Your part with an API key

• A key is personal to the person or project it was issued to. Do not share it or embed it where others can read it. If it leaks, tell the operator and it will be revoked and reissued.
• The API is read-only. It returns records the website has already published; it does not resolve accounts through X and does not start research. Calls beyond the key's daily allowance are refused until the next day.
• You may display and quote records you fetched, with attribution to the publishers named in them. You may not republish the records as a dataset, resell access to them, or use them to build lists of people. The operator may revoke any key at any time, with or without a reason.
• Paid tiers, when offered, will carry their own price and allowance; these terms otherwise apply unchanged.

Who can be a subject

• Only public, non-protected X accounts: those a person asks about, and those whose own posts recently published fact-checks have cited, listed once a day from the publishers' own citations. The operator may suppress or remove any record on request or on their own judgment, and a suppressed account stays suppressed.

• These terms can change; the current version is always this page.
• If the service is abused, or an upstream source stops serving, lookups and research may pause or end. It's a free service, not a commitment.
